Pieskowa Skała Castle (Lesser Poland)
The castle was built by King Kazimierz Wielki (Casimir III the Great) in the first half of the 14th century as the part of the chain of fortresses called "Eagels' Nests" (Orle Gniazda). The 163 km long Trail of the Eagles' Nests consists of 25 medieval castles and watchtowers built along the 14th century of Lesser Polish border (between Kraków and Częstochowa) on tall rocks.
