Ambois Castle (Château at Amboise)
The royal Château at Amboise is a château located in Amboise, in the the Loire Valley in France. It was the royal residence in 15th and 16th centuries.
In the Saint-Hubert’s Chapel in this castle, there is a tomb of Leonardo da Vinci, who was buried here. As a guest of the King, Leonardo da Vinci came to Château Amboise in December 1515 and lived and worked in the nearby Clos Lucé, connected to the château by an underground passage.
